The fantasy name generator is the backbone in all my fantasy generators. 

The elf, the guild and the WoW name generators all use the same fantasy name generator to form the basic fantasy names.

How to generate fantasy names

The Fantasy Name Generator use some basic wordlist with  short names/syllables.

Names like this: 

  • el
  • dor
  • al
  • dan

Make  fantasy names like “Aldor” and “Eldan”.

Finishing of the fantasy names

When the  basic names are generated I sort them. Only names with a good fantasy name feel are kept on the lists. 

From that list the final fantasy names are generated. A random processor gives a micture of long and short, male and female names.
